11:11
Steve Pavlina (Personal Development for Smart People) decided to post about 11:11 yesterday, so I thought it would be a good time to mention my own beliefs with this awesome awareness of a manifestation.
If you are reading my blog through an RSS feed, you will have undoubtedly noticed that my posts are always set to 11:11AM (or perhaps you didn’t notice but will now). This has been my way of paying homage to those other people out there that experience 11:11 on a daily (or frequent) basis. I don’t remember the first time that I noticed I was looking at a clock specifically at 11:11 (a.m. or p.m.), but I do know that I have ‘always’ noticed. If you know me, and have been anywhere around me during an 11:11 minute, I may have even told you “11:11, make a wish”.
The reasoning behind the 11:11 phenomenon varies depending on who you ask, put simply *I* believe that there are some people out there that naturally manifest this value into their awareness as a reminder that the universe is not as it appears (as does Steve Pavilina if you read his post). Additionally I believe that
the people who experience 11:11 and are open to the belief that it’s a reminder, that there is more to the universe then you see or hold as a belief are the ones that are accelerating through the shift in consciousness that we are all currently experiencing. (A whole other topic to get too).
I also find it very interesting that the Mayan Calendar ends on Dec 21 2012 @ 11:11 GMT. Seeing as the Mayans knew more about ‘time’ then any other civilization to date, I would think that more people would take serious note of this. (Then again, I have this constant draw towards Peru). So perhaps thats interrelated? … After reading the Celestine Prophecy many years ago, I got it in my head that the probability a civilization like the Mayan’s who understood the cycles of time so well, didn’t necessarily vanish into thin air and die off as a civilization. I think that perhaps they went to the ‘end of time’ (as they saw it, for this great cycle). Dec 21 2012. And at that time, we may catch up with them …
Time (heheh) will tell the tale

The root of accomplishments
I was having a conversation with a good friend of mine Sunday night, and I was reminded of the root key to accomplishment. In all my life, there is something so basic that I have done with everything that I have succeeded at, yet I have been totally overlooking it for a very long time, and as a result I haven’t been accomplishing things as effortlessly as I know is possible. I have been struggling and wondering what’s up with the universe rather then looking to myself and seeing what it is that I need to do differently.
Even in this blog and the Back On Track Experiment, I have overlooked the significance of this key element, and the more I think about it, the more I realize that without this very first step, the attempt to reach my goals or accomplishments will be met with difficulty and obstacles at every turn.
So without further ado, I present Step 0 (being a programmer has it’s advantages). Decide what you want, and make it an actual conscious decision to achieve it. Many of the goals I have outlined for myself (here and elsewhere) have not been actual conscious decisions, they have been willy-nilly things that I want to accomplish, but not things that I have internally, and intently decided that I would accomplish.
So I will have to spend some cycles and review each of the goals I have already presented and see how difficult it is for me to firmly decide to accomplish each, vs. just stating them as something I would like, but not really probing myself on my willingness and determination to follow through (decisions) and naturally, I’ll keep you all in the know.
more then Do-ers, we are deciders … once we decide, the doing becomes effortless.

Delayed Posts…
Sorry good people, the scheduling problems with my Word Press led me into slack-off mode, I’m back on it though… I was writing in bits and pieces and then I forgot to update anything for a few days. (I know forgiveness for myself, so It’s ok)
I’m not sure why my WordPress works, then doesn’t then does again … if you have experienced this, please fill a brother in
I have the message “Missed Schedule” beside the posts that are on schedule (daily) @ 11:11 AM to go live. (if that helps).
I’m currently giving a quick read through of my posts in limbo, and will (should) have them all back up to date shortly… Thanks for your patience

Constant Effort
If life never hands you anything that your not capable of handling, I would like to thank the universe for having so much faith in my abilities.
Some things REALLY get under my skin, incompetence is one of those things. But I don’t want to rant, I want to maintain a positive mental attitude… Thats where the topic of todays post comes from… It’s a constant effort to maintain a positive mental attitude, but I think that the effort is worth well more then itself in returns of being able to see the positives that could come from an otherwise bleak situation.
So how do you maintain a positive mental attitude? I think that the first key to being able to maintain a positive mental attitude is to understand that you are in charge of your thoughts. Let that sink in for a moment or two…
So seeing that *I* am responsible (in charge) of my thoughts, that means that I can think whatever I want to think, and it’s totally my choice. I can choose to think how great it would be if a face stabbing device popped out of the steering wheel of that driver who just cut me off, killing them and getting them off of my planet and more importantly off of my road while I’m driving. OR, I can take a deep breath and turn my frustration of being cut off into gratefulness that I have a car and the ability to be cut off. My choice. One choice, leads to a mental positive attitude, the other … not so much.
The point is that, it IS a constant effort, in todays fast paced world of instant gratification, big screen media, and video games like Grand Theft Auto its not even a wonder that it takes so much effort to think positively, I know that for me, this is why i do not watch TV or the news, the vast majority of it is far to negative for me, and I know that the important news will still get to me through the people I know.
I will re-visit this topic again and again, as it’s a lifetime goal and desire (to maintain a positive mental attitude), so I have a lot to ramble about.
Have an uber awesome day!!!

Principal of Circumstances
I’m an advocate of constant self improvement… I have always believed that it’s not what happens to you, it’s how you deal with it, and I have never really fallen into the grouping of circumstance (well lets be honest here, I don’t really fall into any grouping except my own, but I digress..).
There is a wonderful woman out there to thank for the solidification of this basic principal, someone that I am very grateful to have had the privlidge of working with, te tragic part to this, is that she doesn’t even know how much of a positive impact she (and this principal) has had on my life. Yvonne Donelly was my Director and Mentor while I was the programming instructor and head of the programming faculty for CDI College of Business and Technology. She gave me this little gold card that had several motivational quotes on it… I used to carry in my wallet, I in turn passed it along to someone else that I thought at the time would benefit from it’s message.
It went something like this … “Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it.” … Lou Holtz – “Its not that the circumstances have gotten you where you are, the successful people will figure out what circumstances they work best with, and then go out to create them.” – Unknown
I wanted to post a thank you to Yvonne… Wherever you are, may the sun be shining on your world.

Provoking Poetic Pondering
To see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wildflower.
To hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour.
- William Blake
Just some food for thought today, I have a bunch of errands I need to run around and accomplish.
