Back on Track Experiment – Day 125
Well I figured I better provide an update to the back on track experiment seeing as time passes even if I’m not doing so great on my goals …
The trick is to be either more stubborn, or more stupid (depending on how you look at it) … I could quite easily call this experiment a failure, but I prefer to try and learn from my mistakes and keep failing forward … it’s that whole ready fire aim attitude I have…
More Debt, Less Paying work, missing Guitar practices, have only picked up 1 song so far (and should have picked up 4 by now), meditating daily (thats working for me), have been out on the bike, but not enough yet (lack of funds can damper the biking), still smoking.
So what to do?
Well let’s see what I’m not doing right and see if I can correct it mid flight rather then crashing the plane and starting over …
The great ones say (the great ones being Andrew Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Jack Canfield, Eckhart Tolle, Etc… ) They all say that I need to know what my chief aim and purpose in life is, I should write down my goals in a clear and concise manner, that I need to read aloud twice daily this statement of desire and I need to use my power of visualization to see things the way I want them to be as if I have already achieved them.
Considering that part of my ideal happens to be displayed as Tony Stark’s lifestyle, I would say thats a pretty tall order to fill … But I like a good challenge.
So I’m going to have another crack at this… Because I didn’t really do things the way that ALL of the great successful people say that I should, and the point is to listen to what the successful people say right? What do I have to loose from writing it down and reading it aloud everyday? People already think I’m nuts…
Ok,
I’m going to start out with discovering my chief aim and purpose in life. Because thats just so simple for everyone (lmao). Then I’m going to write out my goals in a way that I can repeat them to myself (aloud) daily and I’m going to take 10 min after my meditation time to bone up on my visualization …
Thats the plan …

Mmmm Dinner
So I’m writing this from Jeff’s … I just finished helping him with his new laptop and he is cooking dinner … damn it smells good
I was just informed that Jeff was looking for a blog update and hadn’t seen one so I figured that seeing as there is no time like the present, I would play a quick bit of catch up and write a short post.
You (the good people) won’t actually see it until now (Today @ 11:11), but its not that now, now .. its this now (yesterday from your perspective) … by the time you read this (now) I will have already digested the deliciousness that i can smell (now)… and if *I* re-read this it will undoubtedly remind me of the meal which I haven’t eaten yet. So is that anticipation of a future moment, or recall of a past moment, or still the same NOW moment that we all actually live in and the other types of moments only a mere figment of our imaginations?
Time is such a twisted concept sometimes (now).
Rebeka just pointed out that I always use the AM for my post … in an effort to try something new to get the blog posting going again, I think that I will switch to the PM … that will make this now (that your reading this), not the now that I had originally intended but a different now all together, the tonight now (which still won’t happen to me for another 3 or so hours) … I wonder how the difference in now will affect the illusion of time from a digestive standpoint
will my re-collection of the future now while my belly is still full be that different from an illusionary point in ‘time’ when the yummy smelling food is long since passed? Thanks for the suggestion lady … we’ll see how it werks.
And Jeff … that better have been DAMN good because it feels like my stomach is going to eat itself if you don’t hurry up and finish cooking

Friday the 13th
Superstition is an interesting thing, it’s so ingrained in most of us (even those that swear they aren’t superstitious) that were not even aware of it. I thought it would be fitting today to talk about origins to some of the more common ones … Like Friday the 13th. did you know that its only been a mainstream superstitious day since the 1950’s, and the earliest documented reference is in a 1869 Biography of Gioachino Antonio Rossini who died on a Friday the 13th?
There are many theories out there of where this superstition started, from the norse folklore of a goddess named Frigga (Friday) who despite being the goddess of love and fertility convened with 11 other witches and the devil! (13 in total) … You can thank the distorted views of Christianity for that version… and of coarse lets not forget the Da Vinci Code, Knights Templar version that has become popular in recent years. Oh, and I can’t forget that the fear of ‘unlucky’ 13 stretches to much more then just Fridays … Most buildings don’t have an official 13th floor, and as a society we seem to accept that…
Personally I think that as far as days go, its a pretty lucky day …
Friday’s usually rock because the weekend starts, and there are 13 moons in a year… so how could it be unlucky?
But then again, I’m not really a lucky, unlucky, lucky kinda guy. I prefer to think that life is 10% what happens and 90% how you manage it.
Some other common superstitions to leave you food for thought…
Horseshoes – Great luck, just don’t turn them upside down or the luck will fall out
Lucky Rabbit Foot – Lucky for you, not so lucky for the rabbit that lost it.
Four Leaf Clover – Protects you from ‘evil’ spells and really lucky if your Irish.
Broken Mirrors – Seven years of bad luck if you break a mirror … unless of coarse you wait seven hours to clean it up.
Black Cats – don’t let them cross your path (or don’t watch) … Thats why Morphious got nabbed … it was the cat’s fault!
I’m not saying that I’m NOT a superstitious person, I actually am… but I think that as an educated and hopefully intelligent civilization, we should look at some of the limiting beliefs we all carry around with us.
I’m off to have an uber awesome, fantastic, happy, luck, joy day!!! I hope you have one too!!!
Hmmm….
Now I have to find something else to write about next month, when we get another Friday the 13th …

Google Adsense Trial and Error
I’m not getting anywhere with Adsense, but I haven’t actually tried, I just tossed some loose advertisements up to see what the effect would be… Note to anyone out there thinking that will work… it won’t
… in a month and a bit I have generated the whopping amount of $3.56 (three dollars and fifty six cents) from Adsense … I’ll try not to spend that all in one place
But seeing as I’m the type that likes to take responsibility, I can’t possibly say that its Googles fault like some of the lame flaming Interwebians do … (That is a word btw… I just made it up)
. … I digress, where was I? … Oh.
I haven’t done my homework, and I haven’t tried to customize the advertisements on the site yet. So I started doing some research and reading, because lets face it … If I can actually generate some noticeable income off of my site I would be reenforcing my goals for the year and we all know that I really want to succeed. I also figured that if I document the process then I will be making the steps that work reproducible and thats going to benefit not only me but you … the reader (providing that your interested in monetizing a site with Adsense). Make sense? … It does to me, so I’ll go with it
I will make sure to post updates to this topic as I see different results, (w00t!!! more content to write) please bare with me while I make modifications to the locations, sizes, and types of ads that I post … I’m sure that some will have a negative impact, and I want to know… .So, as always, feel free to comment, flame, or provide general feedback to this little experiment. It’s ok to fail, as long as I do it forward
As a side note … I also think that I should be sorting out some ‘pages’ of content based on theme and me unique perspective on the universe … So watch for those to show up in the left hand column … (providing the left hand column doesn’t get moved to the right)
and If you think you have an interesting idea for me to write about… click on comment below

11:11
Steve Pavlina (Personal Development for Smart People) decided to post about 11:11 yesterday, so I thought it would be a good time to mention my own beliefs with this awesome awareness of a manifestation.
If you are reading my blog through an RSS feed, you will have undoubtedly noticed that my posts are always set to 11:11AM (or perhaps you didn’t notice but will now). This has been my way of paying homage to those other people out there that experience 11:11 on a daily (or frequent) basis. I don’t remember the first time that I noticed I was looking at a clock specifically at 11:11 (a.m. or p.m.), but I do know that I have ‘always’ noticed. If you know me, and have been anywhere around me during an 11:11 minute, I may have even told you “11:11, make a wish”.
The reasoning behind the 11:11 phenomenon varies depending on who you ask, put simply *I* believe that there are some people out there that naturally manifest this value into their awareness as a reminder that the universe is not as it appears (as does Steve Pavilina if you read his post). Additionally I believe that
the people who experience 11:11 and are open to the belief that it’s a reminder, that there is more to the universe then you see or hold as a belief are the ones that are accelerating through the shift in consciousness that we are all currently experiencing. (A whole other topic to get too).
I also find it very interesting that the Mayan Calendar ends on Dec 21 2012 @ 11:11 GMT. Seeing as the Mayans knew more about ‘time’ then any other civilization to date, I would think that more people would take serious note of this. (Then again, I have this constant draw towards Peru). So perhaps thats interrelated? … After reading the Celestine Prophecy many years ago, I got it in my head that the probability a civilization like the Mayan’s who understood the cycles of time so well, didn’t necessarily vanish into thin air and die off as a civilization. I think that perhaps they went to the ‘end of time’ (as they saw it, for this great cycle). Dec 21 2012. And at that time, we may catch up with them …
Time (heheh) will tell the tale
